Laura Ginn

Laura joined BiGGAR Economics in 2024 as Socio-Economic Consultant, and is working part-time as she completes her PhD at Newcastle University.

Having specialised in the economic geographies of regional energy transitions and the regional development of North East Scotland and Western Denmark in her academic career, Laura is particularly interested in energy project work. Having focused her thesis on policy, industry, and labour dimensions shaping renewable expansion, Laura is keen to employ her research competencies in real world settings to better understand and support the needs across energy supply chains to reach net zero targets.

Laura is trained in both qualitative, and quantitative, desk-based and international field research and has undertaken a range of consultations and research across the Scottish energy supply chain and hopes to continue this as she progresses with the company.
