Christopher Boyce
Christopher is a wellbeing economist with two decades experience researching the links between economic development and wellbeing indicators.
Christopher originally trained as an economist (BSc, MSc) but went on to obtain a PhD in Psychology, publishing more than 25 peer-reviewed academic papers on the economy and wellbeing. In 2017, Christopher left his academic research career to take a different angle on his research, beginning a cycle journey about happiness that lasted 18-months and culminated in Bhutan in March 2019. He published a book about his experiences, “A Journey for Happiness: The Man Who Cycled to Bhutan” in early 2022, shortly before joining BiGGAR Economics.
At BiGGAR Economics, Christopher guides our approach to wellbeing assessments, having established a WELLBY approach, and has helped implement the use of multi-dimensional frameworks to assess broader societal impacts across many sectors, including renewables, education, charities, and the public sector.
